Big Day In Counter-Strike Rules

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE

There will be a limit of 48 teams able to enter the qualifying rounds. All of the teams will be split into groups of 6, each team will then play the 5 other teams in round robin style.
The winner of each group will then be granted entry into the Final rounds.
Those 8 winners combined with other teams qualified from interstate and lancafes will make the final 16 teams.
Those 16 teams remaining will then enter into a standard double elimination competition.

Each win will earn you 3 points, a loss will earn you 0 point, and a draw will earn you 1 point. In the case of a draw for points, the 2 teams with tied points will play a match to determine a winner. (Excludes both finals)

Example for 4 team groups)

Ie:        AvsB and CvsD

Then     AvsD and BvsC

Then     AvsC and BvsD

TOURNAMENT MATCH RULES

GAME

A game played with each team playing a half match as Counter-Terrorists and the other half as Terrorists. A half is a 12 round map session, best of 12 (MR12). 2 halves equal a Match, which will equal a total of 24 rounds to be played per match.

In the case of a draw in the single elimination competition, another match will be played with maxrounds 3.

The following maps may be used for all games/matches. Each round will use one map. Maps for each phase will be decided at the event.

de_dust2
de_nuke
de_aztec
de_inferno

TEAM

Player Amount: The setup will be 5 on 5. If one of the two teams do not have the required 5 players within the allowed match time that team shall forfeit the match.

At least 4 players are required to start the match.

As in all games, substitutes are allowed. Furthermore, substitutions may be made only before or after matches, not while match is in progress and as long as they have not played for any other team during the comp even if that team has already been knocked out.

Captain: Each team will need a captain if they are to disagree with Admin(s) rules or other matters. Note: Only team captain is allowed to question the Admin(s), as we will not tolerate the whole team coming up to us and yelling. Captains are also responsible for ensuring that all of their members know, understand and follow all rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for a violation.

No talking at all will be permitted after death (this is once you die- not once the screen goes black), also- no worldspeak is permitted during the match (messagemode). Teamspeak is permitted (messagemode2).

Silent-AWP’ing (where a player’s actions causes a guns firing sound to not be made or cut short) and silent-bombplants (where a player’s actions causes a bomb plant sound to not be made) will not be permitted.

In the case of rules breach, 1st offence will be a warning and all subsequent breaches will result in a 1 round penalty. (this excludes silent-bombplant, where penalty will be a 1 round round penalty for every offence).

Boosting is permitted.

Coaches: Teams are permitted a coach. The coach is not a player (he can be a substitute player), but may only talk once all players are dead and during buytime.

If a team is not present in the server five minutes after the schedule match time, the other team captain may approach the admin requesting disqualification if the other team does not present a satisfactory reason for the delay. Note: Teams have five minutes to join before schedule match time, and if needed will be given extra five minutes past the schedule match time if reason is satisfactory.

In the situation of a player’s computer dropping/crashing- this is your own problem. NO restarts will be permitted. Match can be paused at the end of the round to give the dropped player a chance to join for the next round and receive the round money.

SERVER AND ADMINS

Server Crash - If a server crashes before 4 rounds have been completed, the server must be restarted and the game's score is reset to 0-0. If the server crashes after the 4th round has completed, the game must be restarted and played with the same score. Furthermore, the maxrounds of the half is changed to equal the remaining rounds left at the point of the server crash. There will be no money adjustment, teams will start with 800 credits again.

There will be an admin watching over every match to regulate talking etc.

TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE

Scheduled match times represent the time of the actual match start, not the time that a player must join the server. Players must join the server at a minimum of five minutes in advance to the scheduled time.

Players will be allowed to join the server, at any point prior to a match, as long as another team isn’t using the server. Upon match completion, players should report match scores with any extra notes to add. One of the Admins will be in charge of this.

In the case of a dispute, Admins decision is final.

CHEATING AND RULE VIOLATIONS

Any form of cheating, including but not limited to intentional disconnects, ping flooding, server crashing, map exploits, any sort of scripts that enhance recoil and/or vision or any third party programs giving an unfair advantage to a single player/team or the like may result in immediate disqualification of the player's team.
